Assignment:
1 - you must follow my teaching account by searching @SarahCHolmes, click 'follow' on the right hand side.
2 - to write a post on your Timeline, click the blue box labeled 'tweet'.
3 - as you only have 140 characters to use per message, please be careful not to shorten words or use slang, this is a class assignment.
4 - please include your name, major (and minor if applicable), and 1-3 hobbies that you enjoy.
(Ex: My name is Sarah Holmes. I am majoring in Anthropology and Political Science!
I love hiking, eating brunch, and going to the farmers market.)
5 - once you finish your message, click 'tweet' and it will publish on your timeline.
6 - at the top right portion of the screen you will see a small search box, click there and search the name of a famous living scientist. Once you find one you like follow them.
(Ex: Neil deGrasse Tyson or Jane Goodall.)
7 - look through some of their tweets; find one that makes you laugh, one that states something you didn't already know, and one that you're interested to learn more about. 'Re-tweet' them by clicking the two arrows that look similar to the 'recycle' symbol. These tweets will then appear on your Timeline.
8 - On one of the posts you 're-tweeted', please ask a question to the original poster. These should be school appropriate remarks, anything deemed inappropriate will not receive credit!
